 SOUTH WORKING:

WORKING FROM WHERE YOU LIKE IS BENEFICIAL TO YOU AND FOR THE PLACE YOU WORK FROM

We believe that remote working can bridge the economic, social and territorial gaps, with the potential to improve quality of life for millions of people.

WHO WE ARE

We are young professionals, managers, entrepreneurs and scholars, mostly born in Southern Italy. We all have in common that we had to leave our hometowns and loved ones to pursue our professional ambitions. Today, our common desire is to be able and free to go back home.

ADVOCACY

We turned a trend into a public opinion movement, naming it "South Working" and creating a network of stakeholders: workers, companies, and governmental bodies. In our Facebook community people can share useful information to start this way of working.

We research the current trend of working remotely, with the worker being in a different place than the area where the employer's office is located. We focus mostly on working remotely from southern areas in Italy, assessing pros and cons, so as to elaborate policy proposals to reduce the economic, social, and territorial gap in the country.

COWORKING SPACES AND REMOTE WORKING VENUES

We are listing all venues which are appropriate for remote and agile working across Italy, such as coworking areas, cafes, libraries, and bookstores. We want to provide South Workers with locations which are suited for remote working, and which can also serve as a place for social interaction.
